Client portfolios can be automatically imported into the Andes Risk platform through integrations.

Follow the steps below to enter existing portfolios for prospective clients and run analytics, or to create custom proposal portfolios.

Entering Portfolios for Prospective Clients

Portfolios for prospective clients can be added to the Andes Risk platform either manually or by uploading a CSV file.

Step 1: Select an investor or household from Client Management → Investors or Households

Step 2: Navigate to Portfolios → Portfolio Accounts and choose whether you want to manually add the portfolio using + Add Account or Bulk Upload

  • When you select Bulk Upload, there will be a sample file provided in the pop-up.

Step 3: Specify the Proposal on your portfolio.

There is a second tab in the Portfolio Accounts page named Proposals; you can set it up from there.

Proposal portfolios are temporary portfolio representations used before a prospect formally becomes a client. They allow advisors to model, analyze, and discuss investment strategies using realistic data—before custodial accounts are available.

Proposal portfolios support a range of pre-onboarding activities, including:

  • Running portfolio analytics
  • Comparing proposed portfolios against models
  • Demonstrating recommended asset allocations
  • Supporting risk discussions and portfolio comparisons
  • Laying the groundwork for Investment Policy Statement (IPS) preparation

These portfolios help guide conversations and decision-making during the prospect stage.

Proposal portfolios are also included in the system’s account aggregation logic for Household Asset Allocation and Drift Monitoring.

The system follows this hierarchy:

  1. Client accounts
  2. Prospect accounts
  3. Proposal accounts

When no real client or prospect accounts exist, proposal accounts act as a fallback data source for household-level analytics.

Once a prospect becomes a client, proposal portfolio data is automatically replaced by real custodial account data through system integrations.

Proposal portfolios are temporary but fully functional tools that enable meaningful analysis, comparison, and planning before onboarding—ensuring a smooth transition once real accounts become available.
